Alzheimer's Australia visit - October 28 2016

On 28 October 2016, Alzheimer's Australia NT’s Chief Executive Ray Norman provided a briefing about Alzheimer’s Australia NT, and Dementia and the ways in which these disorders can affect us. Ray introduced “the Brain” and spoke of the early signs of dementia such as progressive and frequent memory loss, confusion, personality change, apathy and withdrawal, and loss of ability to perform everyday tasks. Unfortunately there are currently no forms of prevention or cure for most forms of dementia though some medications have been found to reduce some symptoms. Merit Partners is proud to have chosen Alzheimer’s Australia NT as our Charity of Choice and will be working closely together with them to offer our employees opportunities to undertake voluntary community service time at Alzheimer’s Australia NT. Stay tuned to hear more about our work with Alzheimer’s Australia NT on our Facebook page.
